JUNIOR RUGBY

Friday Night rugby Competition is evolving. The success of the local Friday Rugby initiative has meant more students looking to participate. This has brought about the biggest change to the comp in recent years. An evolution from being just for local school sides to a regional competition encompassing schools and clubs from centres outside of the Tamworth district.

Tamworth Rugby Club is very interested in participating in this new regional format with teams of our own entering the boys U14’s, U16’s, and U18 age divisions. Girls teams are also on the radar for the Friday night comp.

We see this as a natural progression for young rugby players coming through these Friday night teams, into club Colts on Saturday, before taking their hard-earnt position in grade football. A natural progression that assists the players develop physically and with skill along with their peers and mates.

Right now, the club is looking for players and parents interested in participating in the regional competition. This is new ground for all, so we are very much interested in your thoughts and Ideas.

With this in mind, the club will be holding an information and consultation meeting on Saturday 7th March at the clubhouse. The meeting will start at 12pm. All interested are welcome to come along to discuss teams, training, and the registration process.
